Funnily enough Anglagard is one of my favorite bands, but the second album Prolog is so good that I have never even listened to their third album.

This music sits in a perfect sweet spot between intellectual and approachable. He never goes too far with an idea. It always feels relative to something conventional or primal. Also, I love the length of the pieces! I feel like I’m soaking in the ideas.

Oklahoma isn't the first place you think of for electronic music. You expect music like the Tulsa Sound (J.J. Cale, for example) which is a bit on the blues/rock and roll/country side, the style that had a big impact on Eric Clapton, particularly in the late '70s. To hear Berlin School style electronic music coming from that state is unreal, especially when it's just as great as the stuff coming out of Europe in the late '70s. Although not familiar with the music of Shawn Phillips although I've been aware of him for years, I know this is very untypical for him, I never imagined him being involved in electronic music.
